BHS Fall Play 2023

The Bernards High School fall drama production is rapidly approaching! Students will put on the play Lend Me a Tenor, a comedy by Ken Ludwig. Auditions commenced September 21, 2023 and for the past few weeks, the cast has been diligently preparing their lines, blocking their movements, and hitting their marks. Most importantly, they are having a blast transforming into their characters to deliver a memorable show! The following are the nine principal actors:

  • Nathan Brown as Henry Saunder
  •  Max Lenci as Max
  •  Maddy Bozack as Maggie Saunder
  •  Brendan Lobo as Tito Merell
  •  Gabby DeNicola as Mari
  •  Arden Addeo as Diana
  •  Elianna Calicchio as Julia
  • Kristen Lee as the Bellhop

Addition to our actors, 25 BHS students are utilizing their talents while working lockstep
with the cast to make the production come together. Student Directors Abby Sebastian and Evan Seker are joined by Max Bozack (Stage Manager), Franklin Cutler (Understudy), Alex Wadsworth and Addison Dunn (Sound and Lighting), Kaley Welsh (Prop Master), as well as Aidan Kinsey and Lucian Spiteri (Lighting). The BHS Crew consists of Emily Inglese, Abigail Freire, Emma Chrapowicki, Kevin Kerman, and Sergio Provini. Collaborating on costumes are
Anakh Sawhney and Lilah Friedman. The sets were built by Julian Lenci, Gabriel Scottin, Eva Russo, Valentina Christen, Cameron Marky, Kayli McGowan-Kinney, Hannah Vinegra, and Alison Arcentales under the direction of Judge Ellis. And to get the word out, Georgia Kissel handled Social Media & Marketing!

The play Lend me a Tenor was produced in the 80’s on both the West End and Broadway. It received nine Tony Award nominations and earned two wins. It has been translated into 16 languages and produced in 25 countries. Another fun fact is that the title is a pun on "lend me a tenner" (as in a ten-dollar bill). So the BHS cast and crew hope you take out your own “tenners” and purchase tickets to have a fun night out, while supporting their production and enjoying the Performing Arts locally.

Four performances will take place over the following three dates: November 3rd (7pm), November 4th (2pm & 7pm), and November 5th (2pm). The cost is $15 for General Admission, $10 for Seniors (age 65+), and $5 for Students. Tickets are on sale now online at https://www.showtix4u.com/event-details/77447 or you can get them at the door (cash only). If you have questions, feel free to email [email protected]. The Cast, Crew, and our Performing Arts Director Christopher Tomaino, and Assistant Director Jade Pietroluongo are excited to see you there!
