Hello My Name Is...
<My Name>
This is Mrs. Tynan’s 7th year teaching at BMS. Because she herself loves to read, she tries to expand her students’ minds by bringing the words on the page to “life." Mrs. Tynan uses a Writer’s Workshop format with one-on-one instruction to help improve her students’ writing. She has fun teaching the great works taught in the 8th grade. She encourages her students to ask deep, meaningful questions to make connections throughout each great work in her classroom library.
Mrs. Tynan graduated Bloomsburg University with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education earning Cum Laude status. She earned her Master’s Degree from The College of St. Elizabeth in Education earning herself Summa Cum Laude status. Mrs. Tynan received her certificate in Assistive Technologies and incorporates the newest technology ideas and devices into her teaching. Mrs. Tynan encourages students to bring in their own technology devices to help assist in their learning.
In addition to working at Bernardsville Middle School, Mrs. Tynan also coaches BHS Freshman Field Hockey. She is also the advisor for the Bernardsville Middle School Writing Lab.
Mrs. Tynan looks forward to working with all her students this year.
